Crashing the website – Registration

YES! We opened classes!

YES! I sent out the email to the membership first, as I always do, before trying to send one to the general public. I had to spend 30 minutes removing MEMBERS email addresses from the PUBLIC email list so that we could still use the free service to notify the public that the registration is open.

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE MAILCHIMP EMAIL NOTIFICATION LIST IF YOU ARE ALREADY A MEMBER! You get the email through the membership list, and you do not need the 2nd email to tell you that registration is open.

If you were sitting there, hitting refresh over and over, you have locked up the website by doing so. In your rush to get into the class you wanted, you have caused it to be slow, “jump all over the place” and not take your money.

Please! Do not panic. Do not encourage your friends to sit and click on the refresh button over and over waiting for it to open. Do not encourage non-members to worry about getting into classes or not. It is making it all dramatically worse, and even causing me to not be able to open classes on time, and worse, if there is a problem, I cannot get in to the website to correct any problems because the system is busy trying to show you exactly the same screen as before when you hit refresh.

Class Registration OPEN for session 5, 2024

Class registration is now open to everyone.

PLEASE REFRESH YOUR BROWSER TO SEE THE UPDATED SITE!

Please note: if you sit around day after day hitting refresh on the website, you WILL fill your browser’s memory with the old version of the site. Please clear your cache before hitting refresh again if you don’t see the updated site.

Emergency Exit Doors

Never leave anything blocking the Emergency doors, front or back. Not even for a minute. We have plenty of open wall space if you need to prop something up, don’t use doors and windows. It would also be appreciated if you took a look at the doors and be sure they are clear. These chairs remained leaning against the doors and windows all weekend, even with several people going in and out.

This is a very serious matter for a couple of reasons. First, if the fire marshal stopped in for a surprise inspection, we would be heavily fined. The second and most important, there could be serious injuries caused by objects blocking the doors. See below. (If I did it right)

Agility Volunteers for this weekend!

It sounds like some of you have had problems using the link previously provided. Unfortunately, Agility does not have their sign-ups on our website, so clicking the link and searching our website for the volunteer form isn’t possible. They only use a google document, which seems problematic for us to share. Here’s another attempt at sending the link.

If that link does not work, please feel free to contact Deb Werts. [email protected] or 419-733-1924.
