Happy Holidays!!

It’s that time year again Gem City Dog Club will be providing a little Christmas cheer for the Eastway Boys Group Home next to Gem City’s Dog Club Building on Northcutt.  Each year we try to provide some Christmas gifts or a large gift that all the boys can enjoy throughout the year.  We will be accepting donations made out to Gem City Dog Obedience Club.  Last year we were able to purchase 2 table top gaming systems and 25 board games and puzzles. Carole Lenehan, Mary Beam & Terri Hendrix will be organizing this endeavor.

We are 3 days away from the show and still need volunteers! Especially on Saturday! These shows/trials can NOT happen with only 3 volunteers! Also, Sunday has the very bare minimum. Please come help! Lunch is provided. You will get your required Gem City hours started! Work both days and you’ll almost have them all! If you are showing and would like to help, email me at [email protected] and we will figure something out!

We still need volunteers for the CCC UKC Conformation Shows and Rally Trials this coming weekend! Crossroads rents workers along with the building! Please volunteer and get some hours out of the way for the year! This is a huge show that brings in good money. We still have lots of openings to work at the CCC UKC Conformation Shows November 11 and 12. This is a big show and to make it happen, we need helpers! The hours count for next year so get a head start! Don’t wait for the last minute! You’ll get to see rare breeds and beautiful examples of the more common ones! We always have a lot of fun!

You do not need experience! The judges will tell you exactly what they need you to do!

Volunteers Needed! – Gem City Dog Obedience Club (gcdoc.com)

The Gem City Dog Club annual membership meeting will be held Friday November

3rd at 7:00 PM.

The meeting will be preceded by a pot luck/carry-in dinner, starting at 6:00

PM.  Water provided by the club.  Bring your favorite dish to share with

your fellow club members.

During the meeting members will elect the board for 2024.  The ballot is

listed below.  Nominations from the floor are not accepted at the meeting.

Everyone on the slate is running unopposed, however a quorum is needed to

hold the election.

In addition to those listed above Barb Siler and Alicia Heidorn are on the

board, as they were elected for a two year term and have only served one

year.

The hours and dues amount for each member has been populated in your website member’s profile. To access your profile please log onto GCDOC.com.

1. Go to the Members Page

2. Scroll down the screen and Click on the button “Profile /Password Change”. This button is on the left side of the screen.

3. I you wish to use PayPal email me at [email protected] and I will send out an invoice. If you wish to send a check for your dues make it Payable to GCDOC and send it to Tami Woodrow, 4921 Pacemont Ave, Dayton, Oh 45415.

Dues are due by October 31, 2022.

If your dues amount says “Not elig” instead of a dues dollar amount that means you have not worked the 20 hours required to renew your membership. If you wish, you may become an associate member for $15 and when you are able to work the required minimum hours you will be able to reinstate to full membership.

When you pay your dues remember to sign the GCDOC waiver form!!

Even if you a Lifetime Member or don’t pay Dues (dues amount is 0.00) You must sign the 2024 waiver on your profile page. All signed waivers are automatically emailed to me!
