Gem City Clothing!!

Hello, everyone! Just a reminder that our Gem City “spirit wear” sale is going on now, but will end on January 17. There are jackets, coats, sweatshirts, long and short sleeved tshirts, treat aprons for training, and even masks! The link is included in this email, and payment will be done online and through the link. There are several options for delivery, including me picking it up for you and bringing it to the club, so be sure to check how you want to handle delivery.

There are samples on the counter in the front room by the sink so everyone can see what they are ordering in different sizes, if you’d like to look, but those will be removed tonight (Wednesday) for the trial this weekend. They will be put back out, however, early next week for one last look.

Scotty Meyer Sportsmanship Award. This award honors one special person
who has promoted the club and dog sportsmanship. The individual makes a
quality contribution to the success of most events sponsored by the club,
and is eager to help both the beginner person and the more experienced
dog handler. Nominations are accepted in writing by the Chair of the
Awards committee. The person receiving the most nominations will be
announced by the previous year’s winner at the Annual Awards Banquet.

Thanks,

Leah Schiller

Vouchers for 2020

To all members of Gem City Dog Obedience Club
Re: Vouchers for 2020:
Please check your profile on the GCDOC Website to see how many hours you worked
in 2020. For this year only we are giving one service voucher to members who worked
20-49 hours. Normally we start giving vouchers for members who work 50+ hours but
we decided to recognize those members who were able to work their minimum of 20
hours for the club. So if you have worked 20+ hours for the club in 2020 you will be
eligible for at least one service voucher this year.
The vouchers are in the Obedience cabinet in a white accordion folder to the right of the
director’s trays. The vouchers are in envelopes sorted alphabetically by the member’s
last name. When you take the envelope with your vouchers please sign next to your
name on the list of members receiving vouchers. That list should also be in the
accordion folder.
Also if you paid your dues for 2021 your profile has been updated with the dues amount
you paid as well as the date you paid your dues.

Obedience MEMBER ONLY Class registration open for session #1, 2021!

Attention members!

Obedience class registration will be open for ONE WEEK ONLY for you to early register as a member.

AFTER THE FIRST WEEK it will be open once again to the general public.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS LINK TO REGISTER!
Going to the general website will not work, as I have hidden the registration to give our members first choice.

Important note! If you are using a voucher to pay for the class, you MUST now send your voucher to the registrar to secure your place in the class. The honor system has been taken advantage of, our club needs the money. No longer turning in the voucher is grounds for dismissal from the class and a paying customer taking your place.

GCDOG looking for some Holiday Elves to Assist the Trash Brigade Gems!

The trash clean-up program is continuing through the winter months because apparently the mess is continuing! Note that while we will have twice a month sign-ups,  you may do your pick-up around the first or midpoint of the month. As always, each hour of work yields 2 hours of service to the club. Bring a friend or family member and clean up all 4 sides of the building- they will earn hours for you.

Please check the volunteer hours page on the website (link below)!
