Edit Your Profile!

Did you know that you can edit your profile in the membership directory? Look yourself up and click on the gear. You can add a cute photo of your dog, write something about yourself, or just enter your dog breeds! It will really help everyone find each other. Please consider at least adding the breeds that you own. We may not always remember each other’s names but we always remember the cute border collie or golden!

Reminder to all Members

Please remember if you are looking for an event to work for hours, consult with the website first. If you have any questions about available hours, contact the person in charge of the event you wish to volunteer for. They will help you know for sure if there are any available positions. Some events don’t need anyone more than the trial committee, some need a lot more.

The trial chair is in charge at the trial/event. They will have things set up the way the judge wants them. Whatever the judge says, is how the set up will be handled. Any disagreements need to be handled quietly and discreetly. Please step away from exhibitors to have such a discussion and don’t speak poorly about one another afterwards.

Any questions can be sent to Angela at akp511@aol.com.

Thank you!

Signing In, Locking Up, and Borrowed Equipment

Hello all ,

Signing In.

If you come in to train during non class hours, please sign in and out on the sheet hanging on the wall over the counter. Be sure you grab the correct form! When you are done with the sheet, please return it to the hangar on the wall.

Locking Up

When leaving, check that there’s no one in the bathrooms and turn off the lights. Check that the board is in the back door and set the locks on the front doors. If you don’t know how, ask someone to show you. Make sure any equipment you used is properly put away. Turn off lights in both rooms. (middle light in front room stays on) Set the alarm. If done properly you will hear short beeps, which are your warning to vacate the building. A loud alarm noise will sound to let you know that it is armed. You want to be outside before it makes that sound. If you do not have a key and a code you cannot properly lock the building! Make sure you have a a key carrier with you! Please bring any questions you have about setting the alarm to a board member, if they can’t help they will find someone who can.

Borrowed Equipment.

If you have borrowed equipment from the building. (Jumps, mats, etc) please return it ASAP. Classes start on Monday and the equipment needs to be available to students.

Email me at akp511@aol.com if you have any questions. Thank you!

New Public Health Orders

Good evening everyone! We have been keeping updated on the most current health orders and I felt an update is definitely in order.

 Our policy has always been:

1. GECDOC follows CDC recommendations and state mandates.

2. If you feel ill, please don’t come to the class/event.

3. If you suspect that you have been exposed or that you have COVID-19, please let us know and we will discretely refund your money for trial fees or missed classes.

 4. GCDOC is not responsible for any illness you may have contracted while at our facility.

Our policy will remain the same.

The newest orders from Governor Mike DeWine state that anyone that has been fully vaccinated may now enter public places without face covering. Anyone has not been vaccinated must continue to wear a face covering until June 2. On June 2, all health orders are ending. This means after that date, everyone is free to enter without a mask or face covering. Until then, please follow the mask mandate accordingly.

Please see this link for the latest statement from the Governor. https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/resources/news-releases-news-you-can-use/covid-19-update-05-14-21-cdc

Please remember these are the state guidelines which we have followed since the beginning. I hope this email will clear up any confusion.

Thank you
